If you're already registered and logged into the forum, then you don't need to worry about setting your nickname. Your forum username is your default nickname. If that name is already registered, you may have to change it.

Rules
- All MechSociety, MechScape, and RuneScape rules apply here, please do not break them, nor discuss how to break them.
- Spamming is not allowed, any spamming will be instantly dealt with and may be banned from the channel.
- Please do not ask to be ranked in the channel or ask to be a staff member on here, it does not your chances of being one.
- Please listen to what the Ops (Those with stars) tell you to do. They are admins and mods on MechSociety. If theres any problems with any users, please report them to a moderator, so that they can be dealt with.
IRC Actions
- How to register your nickname (if you're logged in to the forum, you'll already be assigned one):
- Find a username that you like.
- Enter "/msg nickserv [password] [password] [email] [email]" (replace both passwords and emails with your own).
- How to login with your nickname (Once you registered):
- Connect to a server.
- Enter "/msg nickserv identify password".
- How to change your current nickname:
- Enter "/nick [newname]".
- How to do an action:
- Enter "/me [whatever you want to do here]".
- To join another channel:
- Type in "/join [#channelname]" (must include pound [#] sign).
